  • Weekend Refreshment ~ Floral Ice Cubes

    Water is boring.

It's necessary and quite refreshing on a hot summer day, but it still is pretty blah.  Making your own flavored ice cubes can be an easy way to infuse your water with flavor and color. You can even add flowers to your cubes so that when they melt your drink will have the prettiest floating florals.

Perfect for showers, luncheons, or when you're trying to get your kids (or yourself) to put down the soda.

  • Weekend Refreshment ~ White Wine Sangria

For summer parties you need to lighten up your menu.  Serve lighter dishes and treats and make sure your drinks are cool and refreshing.  A summer sangria is the perfect beverage to serve.  Not only is it tasty, but the touches of fruit will make it pretty too.

    Cheers to the weekend!

    White Iced Tea

4 white tea bags (try Choice Organic White Tea)

    4 c. water

    0.50 c. sugar

    Fresh tarragon sprigs, to taste

Steep 4 white tea bags in 4 cups boiling water, then chill.

Bring 1 cup water and 1/2 cup sugar to a boil, add tarragon, and steep until cool. Sweeten to taste with the resulting tarragon syrup, which will add a licorice note to the tea.
