    wedding trends for 2017

    Newly engaged?  Congrats!!!

Now it's time to start planning.  With 2017 less than two months away, we're going to share with you some trends for the upcoming new year.

Bring the after-party to your guests
Instead of forcing family and friends to travel for your wedding, reception AND after-party, why not bring it to them!  Hold the entire day in the same location and instead focus on changing the lighting, music, and entertainment to keep space varied and the party going!

    Modern Minimalism
Look for metallics to stay in style but add more brushed silver for an industrial vibe.  To soften the decor, add touches of bright white and while mixing in some color.  Look to the stores like design mecca Restoration Hardware as a guide for ideas.

    Forget the receiving line
This tradition has become old and dated.  Instead, have a cocktail hour where you can meet with your guests as a couple.  It has a much more fresh and modern feel and who wants to wait in line when you could be celebrating?!

    Posh Paper
Incorporate paper into your day.  It can be part of the decor, bouquets, or something for your guests to head home with.  This trend is economical and it can also be eco-friendly.  One of our favorite backdrops is made entirely of paper flowers.  It's always a big hit!

  • Dinner in the sky ~

    party at Vast OKC

The weekend is here and we're all ready for a big night on the town.  If you’re looking for an amazing view of Oklahoma City we suggest spending an evening at Vast.  The restaurant commands a stunning and unforgettable view from atop the Devon building.  We love to stop by just for at least a cocktail before seeing where the night takes us.  They also have spaces which are perfect for everything from dinner parties to wedding receptions.  We recently designed this navy and violet dinner party in one of their rooms.  The details included our Prussian Blue Bark linens, silver candelabras, and flowers from New Leaf Florist.  It was an elegant affair hosted in a space unlike anything else in the city.  If you’re looking skyward too, then give us a call and we can make those high goals a reality!

  • Spring forward ~

rental seating for an outdoor event

It's time to starting thinking about spring. Today's beautiful weather will be here before you know it so now is the perfect opportunity to start planning your spring and summer events. Our Florenza chairs are a stylish way to make your guests comfortably chic. They can even be brought indoor for more of a garden party feel. Schedule an appointment today to find the perfect seating for your next party.

  • Weekend Refreshment ~ Modern White

As we mentioned earlier this week, we were excited to share photos from the spring/summer edition of Brides of Oklahoma magazine.  One of the photo shoots featured a white on white aesthetic and used our favorite flower wall and bar.  To compliment the design, white and clear cocktails were used to accentuate the color palette while lending a chic look.

Wanting to create your own white hot cocktail?  Make a white s'more martini or try this recipe for a Coquito.  It's a Latin take on eggnog and it's so delicious you'll want to serve it year round,

    Cheers to the weekend!
