  • Runway to Tabletop ~ First Thursdays Fashion Show

As you know, we here at Eventures are a little obsessed with fashion.  Scratch that, we are VERY obsessed with fashion!  We are always excited anytime we get to participate in any kind of fashion related event.  Last Thursday, Classen Curve and Nichols Hill Plaza partnered up to put on a #FirstThursdaysFashionShow and we were honored to take part in this runway show.

From the runway to the lighting we provided everything... and we even rolled out the red carpet!  Most people don't think that Oklahoma is a very fashionable state but we're working to change that.  After all, we're all a pretty stylish group, if we do say so ourselves.

  • Runway to Tabletop ~ Showstopping Shows

Runway shows are an art in themselves.  Most top designers painstakingly plan every detail of their future shows, starting the second their last one ends!  For example, Chanel is always known for an over-the-top display.  One of my favorites was their 2003 Metiers d'Art show which featured a grand feast complete with chandeliers, crystal stemware, and opulent candelabras.

From charity auction to fashion event, our runways can be described as classic, elegant, bold, and vibrant.  No matter if it's outdoors, under a tent, or in a grand ballroom we will make it unforgettable!  Below are a few of my favorites that we've done throughout the years.

Wouldn't you love to turn up the notch on your next fashionable event?  Let us create a runway show your guests will never forget!

  • Runway to Tabletop ~ Fabulous Fringe

Fringe is the ultimate statement.  It can be chic and sassy, or completely rock n roll.  Just the simple act of wearing fringe makes me want to dance!

How can you sit still when you're draped in such a fun fabric? For a recent event, we took inspiration from Jil Sanders fringe filled spring 2009 show and applied it to a modern lounge.  We started with an all white palette - white seating, white flowers, white branches, white linens, and very small touches of greenery for contrast.

The focus of the lounge were these large handmade 8 foot tall fringe tree shades. The slightest breeze or touch would create movement -- just like the models gracing the runway.

I might be biased, but I find this trimming to be pure fun.  Fringe always brings the party.

  • Runway to Tabletop ~ Blushing Beauty

Every event gives us an opportunity to dream, and why not dream in fashion? Coco Chanel once said, "Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening." We couldn't agree more! With that, let's kick off our first Runway to Tabletop post.

Beautiful blush gowns with ruffles and crystal detailing have been gracing the runways for the past several seasons. We were so influenced by these luscious layers of light pink that we had to incorporate them into a recent event. White drapes with light pink backlighting created a lovely glowing blush tone while tall vases filled with branches, lights, and crystals added to the effect. With all the oversized September issues rolling into our office (Vogue tops out at 665 pages) you can be sure there's plenty of fashionable inspiration to come.
