Runway to Tabletop ~ Ice cold Chanel and creating a winter wonderland‏

Of all the seasons, winter is my favorite.  It also might be because during those months I get to add coats, scarves and boots to my wardrobe repertoire.  The more the merrier, right?  One of the most famous winter fashion moments was during Chanel's 2010 Fall show.  The pièce de résistance was a giant iceberg transported from Scandinavia that served as the runway's centerpiece.  This frozen landscape provided the perfect backdrop for the shaggy fur and nubby wool covered models.  The presentation was a truly frosty extravaganza!

To create your own wintry wonderland, add similar cold weather textures to your decor.  Feathers, fur, snowy branches, and ice blue lighting will create a chilly looking environment for your guests.  Sparkling lights and the occasional use of sequins will mimic the appearance of falling snow.  The combination of these will create a magical environment, just like our events shown below.

It's details like this, that will have your guests reaching for their coat... and maybe even a scarf!
