  • | Prohibition Parties | The golden era of elegance

Prohibition era parties tend to be a favorite among guests.  Maybe it's because of the golden era elegance, or it's the promise of cocktails that make these theme parties a crowd pleaser.  (We also think it's because it invites guests to have a bit of a naughty and fashionable night!)

This past year we created a custom speakeasy in our very own Skirvin Hotel. You can see all the details here, and scroll below to see details from the Screen Actors Guild's annual show hosted by People magazine and the Entertainment Industry Foundation.  It looks like it was an evening reminiscent of Hollywood's golden era.  We only wish we could have attended!  Looking to create your own golden night?  Give us a call!

  • Speakeasy at the Skirvin

There are many amazing venues throughout our great city.  Most of which are perfect to throw a festive affair.  When looking for a spot to create a speakeasy, we had to look to one of the oldest hotels in Oklahoma City.  The Skirvin Hotel's classic architecture helped us create the Club Canterbury Speakeasy...

Behind our custom made club facade, guests were welcomed with a secret bar that led to a lounge and then onto the formal party.  We lined the stage in wine bottles and whiskey barrels, while the tables were adorned with roses and cigar boxes.  Perhaps our favorite touch were the gun shaped vases adorning each table.  Accessories like these are what we like to think make our events stand out!
