  • Weekend Refreshment ~ Rock Candy Cocktails

      

     

    Are you wanting to dress up your cocktails for an upcoming holiday party? 

    How about placing a stick of rock candy as a stirrer for any cocktail?  It's a fun and easy way to elevate any drink.  Aside from just being a beautiful garnish, your guests can enjoy this retro candy afterwards!  It's booze AND candy, so consider it a win-win.  During a recent carnival themed event we used this trick to kick up the guest's cocktails and it was quite the hit.  Have you tried this sweet treat?

    We’re in the middle of fall so let’s enjoy a tasty autumn themed cocktail and toasted the season! A play on the classic whiskey sour, this autumn gin sour is a wonderful cocktail to take us into the weekend. And don’t worry, there’s no pumpkin in it.  You’ll have to get that in your coffee...

  • Weekend Refreshment ~ Apple Cider Mimosas

      

    Today will mark the first weekend it actually feels like fall.  Let's mark the occasion by making a classic cocktail but with a fall twist.  This apple cider mimosa tastes of the season and is so easy to make!  Just switch the usual orange juice with cider and you have a simple yet tasty drink.

  • Weekend Refreshment ~ Pretty Paloma

       

    Since it's National Tequila Day you think we would be posting a margarita recipe... but we're not

    We like to be a little different, so today's we'll be indulging in a Paloma or two.  This refreshing Mexican cocktail is perfect for triple digit weather or just pretending you're on the beach in Mexico.  Check out the recipe below and if you're in a hurry here's a little tip, just try mixing Fresca and tequila for a quick and easy version.Cheers to the weekend!

    Paloma Recipe 

    kosher salt

    1/4 cup fresh grapefruit juice

    1 tablespoon fresh lime juice

    1 teaspoon sugar

    1/4 cup tequila

    1/4 cup club soda

    Pour some kosher salt on a plate. Rub half of rim of a highball glass with a grapefruit wedge; dip rim of glass in salt. Combine 1/4 cup fresh grapefruit juice, 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice, and 1 teaspoon sugar in glass; stir until sugar is dissolved. Stir in 1/4 cup mezcal or tequila, add ice, and top off with 1/4 cup club soda. Garnish with grapefruit wedge.
