  • Event Spotlight: Annie Oakley Society Luncheon

We hold the Annie Oakley Society close to our hearts at Eventures because our own Mary Ellen Alexander is one of their founding members, while our President, Whitney Tatum, is on the Little Sure Shot Leadership Team. They dedicate their time and effort to this wonderful and giving society that benefits educational programs for the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum.

"I was extremely honored to be asked to be a founding member and a part of the Annie Oakley Leadership Team. Being a part of this fundraiser knowing all the money is focused on building an educational experience for all is amazing!"

Part of the Eventures team attended the event and showed their support for the Annie Oakley Society.

This society's goal is to celebrate strong women and their achievements. One of Annie Oakley's famous quotes, "Aim High and Dream Big," was displayed on screens at the Luncheon to remind guests; they can do anything if they put their mind to it. Mary Ellen pushes this motto on our team because she started with a dream and has transformed that dream into the ever growing Eventures!

This year's event design was inspired by spring fashion runways! The stage displayed white cutouts of palm trees giving the event a fresh, tropical vibe. The elegant blush draping brought the strong femininity that all of the Annie Oakley Society's members possess, while the white details of the linens and table setting kept it modern and bright.

Eventures' team of creative ladies are always finding inspiration through art, fashion, and the world around us. We would love to get inspired and create a unique event for you!

  • Annie Oakley Society Luncheon ~

Several weeks ago we were honored to style the Annie Oakley Society luncheon at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum.  This year's awards went to U.S. Navy Admiral Michelle Howard as well as Josephine "Jose" Freede.  These women embody the pioneer spirit that Annie Oakley represented and we were so happy to be a part of it.

Want to learn more about the Society?  Check out this video to hear our very own Whitney Tatum speak more in depth about the event!

Annie Oakley Society Luncheon interview with NewsOK

This week Whitney stopped by the NewsOK office to talk about the Annie Oakley Society Luncheon.  The Society will be honoring Admiral Michelle Howard this year, who is the first woman to achieve the rank of four-star admiral and the first to serve as the Vice Chief of Naval Operations.  We'll be sharing more about this later, but until then click on this link to see the interview!
