When creating the perfect design it's all about balance.  Even when you have a great theme it's possible to push the idea too far.  The key is to add ambience without over taking the space.

When creating a rustic chic look like this one, we balanced the use of romantic elements with western touches.  The use of wooden tables and oversized seats had to be in proportion with lush florals and mood lighting.

Don't let your next event be overwhelmed by any one piece, give us a call and we'll make sure to keep your vision in harmony.

    elegant and rustic wedding ideas

It’s a special experience as a wedding stylist to form relationships with families and play such an important role in their lives. It’s not just about planning a party or wedding; it’s about making lasting memories and the joining of two people, and two families, as one.

Lisa and Mark have three beautiful children – Mark, Maggie and Matthew. Eventures has had the absolute pleasure of coordinating and styling all three Pierce children weddings, first with Maggie in 2013, second with Matthew in January of this year and finally with Mark this past June.

When we met with Mark and Ivy in May of last year to begin planning their special day, we knew it was going to be a fun process. The couple decided on a destination wedding in Ivy’s hometown, Fort Worth. Ivy is an interior designer and has been dreaming of her wedding day all her life. Her inspiration photos showcased her classic taste and vision. From site visits and tastings in Fort Worth to brainstorming and finalizing the details back home in Oklahoma City, we loved planning Mark and Ivy’s nuptials!.

When the wedding weekend finally arrived, family and guests made their way across the border for the celebration. The night before the wedding on June 19, the couple enjoyed a beautiful Rehearsal Dinner at River Ranch in the Fort Worth Stockyards hosted by the Pierce family. The western venue paired well with the romantic rustic décor and lush florals brought in for the occasion. Mark is an avid hunter so it only seemed fitting that dinner took place in the Trophy Room.

Guests enjoyed a delicious meal of Elk Loin and Quail, prepared on site by Chef Tim Love D’s Lonesome Dove Catering. The bride and groom as well as their siblings enjoyed dinner at specialty wooden grove tables and gold velvet banquettes. Soft amber lighting created the perfect atmosphere for the lovely evening of toasts and well wishes.

The Rehearsal Dinner was such a beautiful way to start the Poye-Pierce wedding weekend. We can’t wait to share the Wedding and Reception festivities with you next week!
