  • Runway to Tabletop ~ Couture Chairs‏

Couture is all about the details.  Designer Raf Simons latest couture collection for Dior, was a fantasy that paid homage to Dior past and present.  Most designs were stunningly simplistic, but featured a small amount of exquisite detailing.  A little embellishment to line the jackets and a sprinkle of sparkle patterned through the silk jacquard dresses.  The collection was a true masterpiece.

Speaking of true, most people don't realize that real Haute Couture is made by hand and custom-fitted to the client.  We have our own piece of Haute Couture in our styling showroom and they can be custom designed to your specifications.  Our Chameleon Collection chairs can be dressed to attend any event you're having whether it be a backyard luncheon or a black tie gala.  One of our favorites is the Chloe design, which featured a rushed knit chair cover with a detailed shimmering rhinestone accent.

Wanting to add some dreamy detailing to your next event?  Let our Haute Couture chairs do the trick!

  • Petal Pushers

Whether you are seeking a ceremony backdrop, stylish stage set, or fashion show focal piece, we are certain this is a look to remember. Our team of stylists like to push the boundaries with event design…this may be the perfect way to turn those April showers into May flowers!

  • Runway to Tabletop ~ Bridal Trends with Melissa Sweet

As a fashion blogger, I enjoy discovering the magic that goes on behind the brand.  That’s why I was so excited when I had the unique opportunity to interview renowned bridal designer Melissa Sweet.  I wanted to talk to her about the latest direction in bridal design and the nonprofit foundation Vida Auténtica she recently founded.

After taking a sabbatical in 2010, she has returned with two new collections -- a bespoke collection Melissa Sweet Sacred and a collaboration with David’s Bridal, Melissa Sweet for David’s Bridal, which offers gorgeous gowns for brides on any budget.

Here are several stills from our interview, featuring her beautiful dresses for David’s Bridal.

Below are the questions Melissa answered in our interview.  See her answers in the video!
    • Living in Costa Rica must be an inspiration in itself! What other locales most inspire you and how do you incorporate them in your designs?
    • What new trends will we be seeing at 2014 weddings?
    • How could a bride incorporate Pantone’s Color of the Year, Radiant Orchid, into her own wedding?
    • What is your best advice for a bride who wants to maintain a cohesive overall feel by coordinating her gown with her location, florals, linens, etc.?
    • We also share your love of philanthropy and design, particularly adoring your ‘Sacred’ collection.
    • What sparked your interest in forming Vida Autentica and how did it come to fruition?
    • What style of wedding do you see the ‘Sacred’ line appearing in?

Thank you to Melissa Sweet for sharing her bridal expertise and we look forward to seeing her designs on our beautiful brides!

  • Runway to Tabletop ~ Blushing Beauty

Every event gives us an opportunity to dream, and why not dream in fashion? Coco Chanel once said, "Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening." We couldn't agree more! With that, let's kick off our first Runway to Tabletop post.

Beautiful blush gowns with ruffles and crystal detailing have been gracing the runways for the past several seasons. We were so influenced by these luscious layers of light pink that we had to incorporate them into a recent event. White drapes with light pink backlighting created a lovely glowing blush tone while tall vases filled with branches, lights, and crystals added to the effect. With all the oversized September issues rolling into our office (Vogue tops out at 665 pages) you can be sure there's plenty of fashionable inspiration to come.
