  • Mood Board Monday ~ Royal Purple

If you look around our office, it's pretty clear we're partial to purple.  In the past the color has usually been associated with royalty due to the difficulty and expense that went into producing the dye.  Which makes this the perfect hue to go with our office, because we do indeed think of ourselves as queens.  Except without all of the bad parts.... #offwithherhead.

For an upcoming event, we're imagining amethyst shades of lighting and lush touches of green.  Mirrored pieces open the room and metallics balance well with this rich hue.  After all, royalty must be surrounded by a little gold and silver.

  • Engagements ~ seeing the big picture

    pink wedding details

My advice – see the big picture.  Remember that this day only happens once. Know where to splurge and where to save.  Know when to add a personal touch of DIY and when to leave it to a professional.

As your stylist, I help you take the guesswork out planning to create a cohesive look and feel throughout the wedding…from ceremony to reception and beyond.

  • Couture & Culture | Warhol comes to OKC

"In the future, everyone will be world-famous for 15 minutes."

    Andy Warhol

This common phrase was famously uttered by Warhol back in 1968.  Little did he know how correct he would be!  While many people regularly use this phrase few know who actually said it.

Andy loved celebrities and many of his famous pieces actually focused on them as subjects.  Come this April the Oklahoma City Musuem of Art will have the honor of hosting one of these works. Warhol: The Athletes features ten paintings of famous sports stars commissioned by collector Richard Weisman.  A few of these great athletes include Muhammad Ali, Dorothy Hamill, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Jack Nicklaus.

The exhibit opens Thursday, April 16th and ends July 12th at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art. Hope to see you there!

  • Do I need a wedding stylist and a wedding planner?

The role of a Wedding Stylist is a relatively new term to many brides.  Today we discuss how your wedding can benefit from utilizing both a Planner and a Stylist.

Can I have both a Planner and a Stylist, or do I need both?

It’s always a great option to utilize both a Stylist and a Planner!  A Stylist will keep your overall design cohesive, while your Planner will keep your life organized.

At Eventures, we offer a variety of services for our brides, including styling and full event production. Full production includes many of the logistical elements brides request during the planning process, such as handling all contracts and payments with third party vendors, constructing and maintaining a custom diagram of your reception space, creating your event timeline and providing on-site representation and coordination on your wedding day.

We see your day as more than just a wedding – it is an event and experience that people will remember for years to come.  Our full production services create a seamless event logistically from start to finish, resulting in an unforgettable wedding for you to enjoy.

  • Thunder Up

As our Oklahoma City Thunder players head into game five tomorrow, we just can’t help ourselves but be inspired by the hues used by our favorite NBA team! To create a look even Rumble would adore, we joined blue and orange linens, and added a splash of bright blue with an industrial inspired light-up bar. For a more formal affair, the lux look of blue satin is complemented perfectly by our favorite chair – the Chameleon. Whether your inspiration comes from the ballroom or the arena, we would love to be part of your next event!
