  • Weekend Refreshment ~ Watermelon Margarita

    Memorial Day weekend is a time to relax and enjoy the kickoff of the summer season.  Even though our weather didn't get the memo that it's supposed to be warm and sunny, let's just pretend it did!  This festive watermelon cocktail will brightening up any dreary weekend.

    Watermelon Margarita


    4 parts Sauza Blue Silver 100 Percent Agave Tequila •

    2 parts JDK & Sons O3 Premium Orange Liqueur •

    3 cups seedless watermelon, chilled and cut into pieces •

    ½ cup lime juice, freshly squeezed •

    1 cup ice

    Directions: Freeze cubed watermelon in a plastic bag for a minimum of 2 hours. Add all ingredients to a blender and puree until smooth. Serve in glasses rimmed with salt and garnish with a lime or watermelon wedge.

    Manhattan cocktail  

    Ella Fitzgerald once sang, 'we'll have Manhattan' and it's where shoe diva Carrie Bradshaw called home.  The island has some of the best restaurants, museums, and real estate in the world.  Don't even get us started on the shopping.

    Even though we don't live there, this iconic little cocktail allows us to celebrate the spirit of the city.

    Manhattan

     2 ounces rye whiskey

    1 ounce Carpano Antica Formula or other sweet vermouth 

    2 dashes of Angostura bitters

      Ice

    1 maraschino cherry, for garnish

     Fill a pint glass with ice. Add the rye, vermouth and bitters and stir well. Strain into a chilled coupe and garnish with the cherry.
